Graduation

Me

I got my camera the day before I graduated from Central Michigan University, and I don’t think it was a coincidence; when one door closes, another one opens.

GraduationI’m so glad I went to school and got my degree, but I knew I wasn’t supposed to do anything in my field at the time (Spanish, English as a Second Language and Communication Disorders). I started my food, health and wellness blog, Edibly Educated, in the months that followed because of my passion for healthy living, and that will continue to be one of my creative outlets.

I discovered a love for food and lifestyle photography as I completely immersed myself into everything photography-related. In the six months that I’ve really been using and playing with my camera, I’ve learned more than I could have ever imagined, and I continue to on a daily basis. I’m determined to fill gaps in my knowledge and continually seek out new opportunities to learn new concepts and develop more skills.

I believe professional food photography is a very valuable asset to a business. I’ve gained experience from my blog and developed an eye for all things delectable. Read more here about the importance of professional food photography.

And I can’t help but love lifestyle photography. What can I say, I’m a people person. I’m all about laughing and enjoying company during a shoot. I love capturing the natural and intangible as best as I can.
